Our Monday Gardening Club is always a highlight of the week, and this occasion was no different, even with a bit of rain. Although the weather kept us from visiting the allotment, we made the most of the day by heading to Glapwell Garden Centre instead. It turned out to be a wonderful trip!

We spent time browsing the beautiful selection of plants and picked out some vibrant flowers to bring back to Enablement Care. After a bit of shopping, we treated ourselves to a warm, relaxing coffee break before heading back for a hearty lunch. On the menu? A classic ploughman’s lunch, paired with a delicious fruit cobbler for dessert. Everyone enjoyed the meal, and it gave us the energy we needed for the next part of the day.

The weather finally cleared up enough for us to plant the lovely flowers at the front of Enablement Care. It was a satisfying way to end the day, and our new blooms have brought a fresh burst of color to the garden. A big thank you to everyone involved for your hard work and enthusiasm!

We’re looking forward to more gardening adventures soon, rain or shine!

Invitation to Our First Residents’ Meeting – Sunday, 8th September

The image shows a top-down view of a group of seven individuals seated around a circular table, engaging in a meeting. Each person has different devices and materials in front of them, such as laptops, notebooks, tablets, and papers. In the centre of the table, there is a document or sign displaying the logo and text 'Enablement Care.' Above the group, in large blue text, the words 'Residents Meeting' are prominently displayed. The participants appear to be working collaboratively, as some are taking notes, while others are using electronic devices.

We are excited to invite you to our very first Residents’ Meeting this Sunday, the 8th of September, from 14:30 to 15:30. Families of our residents are warmly welcome to join us!

This meeting is an opportunity for us to connect with our residents and their families to ensure everyone is happy with the services we provide. We would love to hear your thoughts and ideas regarding activities, meals, comfort, and any other areas where we can improve.

As this is our first meeting, there will be no set agenda – it’s an open discussion where we can gauge how you feel and gather suggestions to enhance everyone’s experience. In the future, we will host a residents’ meeting at the start of each month, and we look forward to collaborating with you regularly.

We hope to see you all there and encourage you to share your thoughts!

If you have any questions before the meeting, feel free to email us at operations.lead@challengect.co.uk.

Date: Sunday, 8th September
Time: 14:30 – 15:30
